Short answer: It works but the results will vary and the consistency is through off. It is worth it for saving money but it just won't be the same.
What I really think. - I purchased this to fix my broken Urban Decay eyeshadow and Tarte highlighter. The eyeshadow repaired well with some issues. The finish became shiny and it became hard to buildup color. It basically made my favorite no fails eyeshadow patchy. My highlighter works well still but it is now clumpy and sandy feeling. I wouldn't have been satisfied had the pots not been brand new when I broke them.
Before I wrote this review I saw someone ask if this would work on loose products. I have some old loose shadows that I don't use. I gave it a go. The first packing didn't work well. I wasn't surprised since there isn't much if any binder in loose products. The foam took a long time to work in and left a soupy mess. It took two days to look fully dry. I had no faith but I was surprised to see it was still a powder after scraping at the top. I tried some swatches with and without primer. I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden. It is as neutral as you can get since it is nearly a perfect match for my forearm. I know I'm glow in the dark pale. Working backward fro my wrist the swatches are applied 1. brush with primer 2. brush no primer 3. finger with primer 4. finger no primer. It also still blended fairly well. Without primer it just swept away.

I want to love this product. But it seems to be better for some formulas than others. On shimmer and glitter (The Balm's highlighter and the blue shimmer from the Friendcation palette) formulas it works great! And the texture is not changed at all. But the matte clay finish of the bronzer and blush from tarte were not as well brought back to life. They lost texture, blendability and since it is more pressed and more dense, the application is harder, not as buttery and creamy as they were. It also left cracks on the pan which is still scary. But It did the job. Also I wish they would send more variety on the pressing tools because the two that came with the moose did not fit the pan.

The pressing tools that come with this product are great. The moon mousse itself doesn't work all that great. You're better off using rubbing alcohol. The "liquid" creates cracks and bumps in the powder. The pressing tools (one round, one square) and the little spatula/cutter are the real MVPs. If you press hard enough with these, you'll love the results. Unfortunately, you'll get a pressed pigment effect and get a LOT of fallout this way. The mousse is the glue holding it together, but the pans look horrible after using it.
So... this does fix your broken powders, but it'll make it look unappealing. It is not ideal, but it does what it says it does and I can't deny it. Three stars for effort.

So I don't know how many of you dish out insane amounts of money on make up just to have it fall to the floor and get utterly destroyed. Pretty much the worst feeling ever. Moon mousse saved my make up and my bank account. This product is a god send. Super easy. Apply, wait for magic, (I'm pretty sure it's magic) and then shape it back to its rightful beautiful compacted self. I've used it on two different compacts and had amazing results. This 👏🏻Product👏🏻Is👏🏻Fabulous!

I saw a woman use this online to mix up different colors of eyeshadow and thought it would be worth it to buy. I received a broken blush and so I got this to fix it. I think the formulation of the blush is what led to my failure. The Super Shock formula is kinda creamy? So get this if you have dry blushes or eyeshadows. Cream to powder ones won't work as well.

Total miracle product! Does exactly what they described and lasts a long time. Repaired 5 expensive kits with a bunch left over so it's more than paid for itself. Really easy to manage and a great result. Almost like new! No more stressing out about broken powders when they throw themselves off the counter!

How did I not find this sooner?!?! That's the level of excellent here. I broke 2 of my daily use UD eye shadows, a satin and a shimmer. Both finishes came out perfectly. When pressing the power be precise with your stamp placement but firm with the pressure. And then go pro - scrape out that slightly off shade from your favorite pallet, fill it in with that single you can't live without (enter Sin), and maybe even pop a little blush in there too. I love that this helps me reduce waste and the size of my bag!

Pretty easy to use. Just make sure to not overuse the solution and make sure to press all lumps out of power. Saved my compact, and those things are expensive!
